  9. I’ve always found black girls ultimately beautiful (I’m a white guy) whether their hair was flat, kinky, braided, in dreads or even a jerry curl. I think it is a tragedy the way that these beautiful, strong, loving women have suffered over the centuries, and hope that the new millennium will be a time of happiness for black women, and true appreciation of their beauty, not as whores or sex objects, but as works of art!

    Love you all Sisters!

  10. i love the way u talk
  11. thanks a lot
  12. I love your vids!!!! How exactly do you use the shea butter for your hair? Do you use it like hair/scalp grease or do you use it like a deep conditioning treatment and wash it out?
Thanks for any info you can give me.
  13. hey i am really enjoying ur vids. I am joining ur challenge today!!! Thanks for the vids.
  14. Amen sister. Its only bad hair, because you make it bad hair.I have seen african girls, with natural gorgeous long and short hair.Bad hair comes when u make it bad hair!!not lookin afta it and such
  15. Thank you sooo much! Lovelyti, you r Very learned. And thanks to all of those who left tips for us with black hair because my hair is breaking very badly. i’d really like to restore my and allow it to grow and this video is perfect. this vid totally denounces popular myth.
  16. great choice good luck!
  17. hey i just wanted to say thanks for posting this! and it was really clever of you to point out the first tip, and thats to get over this stereotype that we can’t grow it. i use to do all the things you did, i still do like washing hair once a month and leaving it in french braid and i slap a wig on top, which works some, but i guess it isnt a healthy way. i’ve had long hair before but….i kept messing with it and now its hard to get it back.
  18. well like she said if you PAY attention to the video, its not bad hair if you KNOW how to treat it properly. hair is just not goning to fix itself, YOU have to. there are MANY black women who have no idea what to do with their hair, but you NEED to learn it so it wont be a curse.
  19. hi cgreen there is really no problem for me cus i don’t wear my hair straight constantly my hair had been severly damaged so there was no reason for me to constantly add damaging heat to my hair, yes i only relaxed twice a year cus i hate relaxers!lol
i no longer relax i am going natural i’m now
8mth post realaxer, as far as how i kept my hair striaght i didnt, if i wanted straight hair i rocked a wig,i learned how to deal with my ng instead of sticking a hotcomb or flatiron through it.
    hth
  20. I’m in total agreement with you regarding the shampooing part. When I thought about it, it does dry our hair out. What I’m truly curious about is, how is it you relax your hair twice a year and flat iron maybe 6 times a year as you stated. Here’s the problem in the process. 1.You’re growing at least an inch or more every 3 months. 2.conditioning your hair every week. How do you straighten your hair? You have a lot of new growth. What’s “Your” method?
  21. good luck on your natural journey. I’ve been natural for about a year now and love it. I’m also glad that you put out this video.
  22. I want to address Lexil who states that our hair is a curse. It’s a curse if “YOU” make it that way. Virgin black hair may be course and hard to manage at times but our hair is so versatile. Those who are mixed with black in them (what some of us call “good hair”) have the hardest times with there hair. DO YOUR HOME WORK. Many of them want micro braids and all the styles we implement. Well their hair can’t hold those styles without gumps of hair spray and gels.
  23. ummm it is weave… i stated in the video that i wear lace fronts sometimes as a protective style for my hair.
  24. Y0UR HAiR iS S0 SHiNY LiK3 W3AV3…..[HMMM]
  25. Man…you sadden me. Don’t pass your mentality on your kids if you have one or is planning to have kids. Do some research and the truth will set you free. BLACK HAIR IS NOT BAD HAIR!!. Our hair is a gift and you will realize this when you do research and see the beauty of our hair. You shouldn’t comb dry natural hair…you comb it when is wet.
